We’re based in Berlin but would consider hiring remotely for this role. If you do want to move to Berlin though, we’re happy to support your relocation.

Your mission:

We are seeking an experienced product minded Tech Lead to take the ownership of the Instruments & Reporting team and its domains. Your tasks include setting the team’s objectives with your Tribe Lead, working together with the team on aligning on the system's architecture, design and plans, and agreeing on the best practices and ways of working. During your career, you will gain a deep understanding of the Instruments and Reporting domains and experience in working in a growing FinTech startup.

Job requirements: 

The instruments and reporting team is currently responsible for two domains. The team’s overall mission is to:

• Build ultra fast real time data pipelines
• Create highly scalable distributed services
• Expose lovable public API’s to make it easy for our internal and external clients to access best-in-class market data and reports.

The instrument domain owns everything related to market data. In short, the domain takes care of the following areas:

• All market data vendor connectivity
• Vendor data ingestion
• Transformation to internal representations
• All necessary data stores and delivery mechanisms to let our internal domains and external clients access the market data by using internal and public facing APIs.

The reporting domain owns the regulatory and end-user facing reporting. In short, the domain takes care of the following areas:

• Consuming relevant upstream events
• Enriching them to include all relevant data to generate reports
• Generating the actual reports in various representations
• All necessary data stores and delivery mechanisms to let our internal and external clients access the reports by internal and public facing APIs. 

What you'll bring:

• Hands-on developer experience at the Senior level
• Extensive industry experience
• Good architectural vision and distributed systems design experience - ability to see the big picture and create the right level of abstractions
• Prior experience with event-driven distributed systems
• Prior experience with Cloud computing (ideally with GCP)
• Good people and communication skills
• Planning and prioritisation skills - focus on what matters
• Stakeholder management skills - ability to discuss difficult technical topics with non-technical stakeholders
• Taking ownership and owning the outcome
• High level of pragmatism

It's nice if you have:

• Team leading experience
• Experience working in the FinTech domain
• Knowledge of our modern tech stack (Go, Docker, K8S, LinkerD, Postgres, Kafka, Redis), SRE, service meshes, API gateways, and observability.
