To further help our teams grow, we are looking for an exceptional Learning & Development Senior Manager to be responsible for developing and overseeing the L&D efforts at Upvest. As ‘Learn & Grow’ is one of our core values, you will have a significant impact on the entire organisation and develop our company-wide L&D strategy, derived from our business strategy. The successful candidate will analyse our learning needs, build and implement strategies and programs to support them. They will also develop internal learning and training materials whilst also creating external offerings in addition to partnering with vendors and consultants.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
- Assess learning and development needs and map emerging skill requirements against competencies, identifying gaps and prioritising resulting L&D programs
- Drive the design, development, implementation and iteration of our learning pathways supported by content and programs, such as coaching, peer learning, online training, and workshops among others
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the training & development plan through program assessment and metrics to make sure we help our people make the most of learning opportunities
- Together with the People & Org team, develop a career pathing map that helps managers develop their team members
- Lead the planning, logistics and execution of employee and manager development programs
- Develop partnerships with outside vendors
- Improve and reshape current internal processes and programs: Progress and development review cycles, onboarding, hiring interviews, DEI implementation, among others
- Work together with the leaders to construct and reshape the content within our employees' data centre (Slite)

What will help you to be successful in this role:
- Passion for helping people learn and grow
- At least 5 years experience in designing and implementing effective training & development materials, preferably within Fintech/SaaS/B2B
- OD experience is a major advantage
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and practices
- Experience in project management and budgeting
- Professional certification (e.g. CPLP) is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a big advantage) as well as strong presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for fintech and an understanding of the investment industry
- Whilst this is a hybrid remote role we would like you to be located in Berlin so you can conduct meetings in person from time to time. We are happy to support your relocation if needed.
