We’re based in London but are open to a hybrid working setup within the UK for this role.

Your mission:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations professional to join our motivated team in the UK early on its journey, a team of experts who value innovation, excellence, and shared growth in a results-driven environment. This role might be 'Lead' or 'Head of Operations' depending on the level of seniority and experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing our UK operational model, drafting and implementing operational processes, training of the operational staff and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our UK entity, including but not limited to.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

• Draft and implement Upvest’s operational processes in the UK market, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with local regulations and business objectives in relation to GIA’s, ISA’, SIPP’s and other products that Upvest will look to deliver

• Review and enhance Upvest’s current operational framework to ensure it is fully adapted and ready for the UK market

• Hire and train our UK-based Operations team members to effectively handle UK market-specific requirements and practices

• Work closely with our Client Impact team to integrate, migrate and launch new clients in the UK

• Work with the CASS Officer and Product team to champion process improvements and automation projects

• Provide support for customer queries, audit processes, and ensure smooth communication with banking partners

• Keep informed of regulatory changes, ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the payments space

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking middle- and back-office operations, with expertise in managing ISA and SIPP products within the UK market

• Experience with modern investment technology

• Strong regulatory knowledge

• Experience in building and leading operations teams, along with developing the necessary infrastructure

• Strong investigative and analytical skills with a mindset of continuously improving the status quo

• Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

• Entrepreneurial mindset

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Fluent in English - both written and verbal
